What does it mean to be a superhero? How do you go beyond their powers and abilities? At the July 16 meeting, Bob Morris will discuss superhero archetypes, how superheroes have evolved through the years, and how you can relate them to the average person.
Bob will bring a few examples of graphic novels and DVDs with themes to discuss, but feel free to bring your own, along with your own ideas about what it means to be a superhero.
Following the program on Superheroes, Stephanie Storey will be a special guest author. Storey’s debut novel, OIL AND MARBLE, is an LA Times bestseller and received a glowing review from the New York Times. She will share her experiences in the publishing process and answer questions from the members.
