Our regular meeting on November 19 at 1:30 will be back in the Sedgwick County Extension office, Sunflower Room, at 21st and Ridge. You can enter from either street and park on either side.
This will be an important meeting: Elections! Volunteering to assist your fellow writers to find the resources we need to be successful. Many members have served in these positions previously; we’d be happy to have you again, but new members would learn a great deal from this service. We have rebuilt and revitalized the organization from the Covid disruption. We CAN keep the momentum going.
Katherine Pritchett is stepping away from being the President the last couple of years, but she is willing to take another position.
Marcia Helton is stepping away from serving as Secretary. This is a critical position, as we are required to provide minutes of our three required business meetings per year in order to maintain our non-profit status.
Angela Largent is stepping away from performing as treasurer. She has developed a system that makes the job smoother and will be available to train the new treasurer.
A couple of members have volunteered for the board but have not settled on their positions. Positions to be filled are: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and two members-at-large. Please attend or email your ideas.
Program and Discussions
After the election, Ben Sutherland and Angela Largent will provide a NaNoWriMo update. We will also make plans for the Christmas party and begin considering/scheduling programs for next year.
